The First All-Russian Congress of Advaita Vedanta`s Followers and Communities
Moscow July 22-26 2008


The First All-Russian Congress of Russian-speaking followers of Advaita Vedanta takes place in Moscow (Profsoyuznaya street 61, Kaluzhskaya metro station) in July, 22-26.

We invite religious and spiritual organizations, communities, monasteries, groups, Yoga centers and practitioners of traditional Advaita Vedanta (as it`s given by saints Rishi Vasistha, Dattatreya, Shankara, Ramana Maharshi and siddhas), and Neo-Advaita`s followers from Russia and CIS countries.

The Congress is conducted under the aegis of World Community of Laya Yoga, the Monastery-Academy of Yoga "The Collection of Mysteries" on a joint initiative of disciples of Swami Vishnu Dev, the followers of Advaita Vedanta and Laya Yoga with the assistance of Moscow Dharma Center "Sacred Abode of Aryans" and Regional Nonprofit Spiritual & Physical Development Organization "Laya Yoga" (Saint-Petersburg).

At The Congress:

  • lectures and speeches of teachers (Guru), masters and sadhus of various schools, currents and directions of Advaita Vedanta teaching;
  • reports-lectures, research work reports, speeches of philosophers, practitioners, orientalist scientists – researches of Advayta Vedanta;
  • presentations of spiritual currents, communities, groups and centers of Advaita Vedanta followers;
  • presentation of the project "Vedic Civilization of God-Men - "Divya Loka";
  • presentation of the Virtual Project “Arya Loka” - virtual Holy Land of Ariyas;
  • traditional philosophic public debates about the Nature of the Absolute where monks and laymen can participate;
  • video films and video lectures of enlightened Masters Sri Ramana Maharshi, Sri Punjaji, Ramesh Balsekar, etc.;
  • mysteries – theatrical performances based on the fragments of sacred scriptures and puranas telling about living of saints and siddhas;
  • traditional and modern bhajans;
  • collective meditations, worship rituals and invocation of Advaita saints` blessing;
  • prasad;
  • spiritual arts (Vedic music, singing, spiritual poetry, Vedic dance and iconography);
  • exhibition of iconographic images, photographs of saints, siddhas, deities and sacred symbols;
  • Hatha Yoga lessons;
  • Chankramanam (meditative walking technique);
  • healing séances and advices of Ayurveda, Vedic science of design (vaastu), Vedic astrology (jotish), chiromancy and numerology experts;
  • distribution of books, video and audio records;
  • presentations of publishers of books on Advaita Vedanta;
  • "Advaita and Transhumanism" (how to live and improve oneself in modern high tech world being a follower of Advaita Vedanta philosophy).

We invite followers of Advaita Vedanta philosophy and those seekers who feel spiritual closeness to the teaching to join the First All-Russian Congress for the good of all beings. Attendance and participation are free.

You can take part in the Congress as a participant or as s visitor (spectator). If you want to make a performance or a presentation, please submit an application to the Coordination Council of the Congress.
